Project Excel

Project Excel

Project Excel

Project Excel’s mission is to help youth develop personal, social and  academic competencies that will enable them to excel in school, in the  community, in the job place, at home and among their peers. All programs  are provided to youth FREE of charge.

Youth Court

Project Excel

The Huntington Youth Court Program is run for youth by youth. Youth  offenders up to 18, who have committed their first misdemeanor crime,  are given the opportunity to have their case heard by a jury of their  peers. In addition, Youth Court accepts referrals of offenders who  commit a violation against their school’s Code of Conduct. In a trial  setting, volunteer youth perform the roles of prosecuting and defending  attorney, judge, bailiff, and jury. A jury then hands down an  appropriate sentence to the offender.”

Sanctuary’s professional staff members provide individual, family and group counseling, crisis intervention, and referrals to short-term emergency housing and/or long term independent living programs. All of our services are confidential and free                    of cost for all Town of Huntington residents.
