In partnership with the Town of Huntington Youth Bureau, Long Island Crisis Center counselors provide free, confidential crisis intervention counseling 24/7 for Huntington Township residents. This hotline also answers evening and weekend calls for Huntington Sanctuary, a counseling agency for runaway youth.
C.A.S.T. (Community and Schools Together) is a joint intervention project of the Huntington Youth Bureau and Tri CYA. C.A.S.T. is designed to help at-risk youth make positive choices through educating and empowering youth and their families. C.A.S.T. is an outgrowth of the Town of Huntington Supervisor's Gang Prevention Task Force composed of law enforcement, schools, elected officials, The Huntington Youth Bureau, Tri CYA local community youth agencies and mental health agencies and community members. The purpose of C.A.S.T. is to provide intensive outreach and case management to at-risk youth in grades 5 through 9 and their families in the Town of Huntington. The C.A.S.T. workers are available evenings and after school as well as during school hours to provide support to these youth and their families in the form of counseling, connection to area resources and follow-ups with home and school. C.A.S.T. services are provided free of charge to youth and their families. The goals of C.A.S.T. are to provide youth in the program with positive alternatives including:
Project N.E.W. is a special project that serves the families within Huntington by providing nutrition and health education.
Staff helps families by providing the nutritional education as well as any other referrals or help with resources that will address their needs. Information will be kept confidential and will be provided in English and Spanish.
Our mission is to outreach and engage families interested in nutrition education to increase their knowledge of nutrition, health and other services and programs that will enrich their lives.
Project Excel’s mission is to help youth develop personal, social and academic competencies that will enable them to excel in school, in the community, in the job place, at home and among their peers. All programs are provided to youth FREE of charge.

The Huntington Youth Court Program is run for youth by youth. Youth offenders up to 18, who have committed their first misdemeanor crime, are given the opportunity to have their case heard by a jury of their peers.

Sanctuary is a specialized project that assists youth between the ages of 12 and 21 who run away or are at risk of running away from home. Sanctuary’s professional staff members provide individual, family and group counseling, crisis intervention, and referrals to short-term emergency housing and/or long term independent living programs. All of our services are confidential and free of cost for all Town of Huntington residents.

The Huntington Drug & Alcohol Counseling/Education Center is a private, not-for-profit, state licensed, outpatient substance use disorder treatment/prevention provider. We utilize diverse and caring licensed clinicians to provide services both in the community and onsite.
