In response to the pandemic, Feed the Town was created by Ray and Jamie Costa, with support from Dan and Caroline DeDora.  Feed the Town supports local restaurants while helping those in need by delivering hot meals six nights a week.  As the community partner, Tri CYA coordinates the distribution of these meals to ensure Huntington’s most vulnerable families never go to sleep hungry. 

In addition to the generous funding from the Costa and DeDora families, we would like to extend a warm thank you to the following for their support of Feed the Town:

Thank you to Senator Jim Gaughran, Huntington Town Councilwoman Joan Cergol, The Pakistani Americans of Town of Huntington (PATH), the Northport-East Northport Public Library, and the Elwood Public Library. 

PATH also raised over $3,000 for Tri-CYA to purchase diapers and other necessities for the hundreds of families the organization assists on a daily basis.

Additionally, thank you to Jack and Charles, Harborfields High School students who reached out to Senator Gaughran’s office looking to help, and were able to organize a food drive in their school. 

Special thanks to Bob Lopez, Sara Yasmine, the Elwood Public Library, Northport-East Northport Public Library and to Harborfields High School students Jack Steel and Charles Gannon and their school’s Spanish Club for collecting food and other donations.

Lastly, thank you to EVERYONE who participated in the food drive to stock our pantry shelves! We are so appreciative of the endless community support. 

Tri CYA distributes food to the community every Monday from 11-1p.m.  Tri CYA’s pantry is always looking for additional donations of food and other necessities; and volunteers.  If you would like to get involved, please call  631-673-0614.

Thanks to legislator Tom Donnelly for personally delivering 300 New York tough masks and hand sanitizers. Tri community and youth agency is grateful!

A huge THANK YOU to Satur Farms for their generous donation of organic produce. All donations are going to local food distribution sites and pantries including Tri CYA, SCPD 2nd Precinct Distribution at Manor Field, St. Hugh of Lincoln Outreach, Helping Hand Rescue Mission and Dolan Health Center. A special thank you to Project HOPE!

Thank you to everyone who helped sort and distribute all of these wonderful vegetables which will feed the families who need them most! 

Tri Community and Youth Agency is extremely grateful to the COVID-19 Long Island Philanthropic Fund at Long Island Community Foundation for their support to help Tri CYA provide meals and food delivery to low-income families impacted by COVID-19.
